#4 Symbolism & Imagery

The WORDshop is an informal circle of learning on all things poetry and spoken word, held on a monthly basis.

The topic for this month’s WORDshop is Symbolism and Imagery! 🙂

Date: Saturday, February 2, 2013
Venue: UMST – Prof. Egail Lecture Hall
Time: from 4 – 7pm.

This month, we will be discussing the importance of symbolism and imagery in writing (whether poetry or spoken word), as well as tips on how to break away from the cliche of typical images/metaphors to be fresh and creative.

Some points regarding the past and future WORDshops:

For the sake of effectiveness, we keep our sessions small, so we’re capping at 15 people. First come first serve – so make sure to be the first to sign up!

Don’t be late – the more punctual you are the easier it will be to finish in good time!

Materials that are generally needed:

– notepad or other note-taking device
– pieces wrote/performed/would like to perform
– Creativity and lots of enthusiasm! 😀

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED. Thank  you for registering – and for those who couldn’t make it, there’s always next month! :D

Nas. Notepads. No questions asked.
