Send in the clowns
To Forgo all sadness
Turn your miserable frown
All the way Upside Down
Let them plummet, let them sink
To Drown
you in your own drool
As you break down
In uncontrollable laughter
With their comical banter
Mind you
The facade of their happiness
Conceals the spite for your delight
And the abuse of your amusement
Send in the clowns
So you can smile
For a little while
A fleeting instance
They go the whole distance
So you’d retort with a snort
Their very own existence
So that you enjoy
The perks of a smirk
The flicker of a snicker
A simper
And when the show ends
You will NEVER witness
Their nightly whimpers
And when their knees give way
and buckle
Under the weight of your chuckles
Send in the clowns
Don’t be mistaken,
thats what they’re paid to do
To put on those silly yellow shoes
So
Let them stumble in clumsy feet
Let them struggle in oversized footwear
Let go off all worldly care
Painting toothy grins on your chins
That you stole from them and theirs
Send in the clowns
Those Who wallow in self pity
Grown ass men, degraded and belittled
They learnt to swallow the humility
When they wiggle to make you giggle
For them…
Life presents no alternative choices
Than forcibly muted voices
Cause merry actions yet absurd
speak volumes louder
Than humorous words
Send in the clowns
See, their seemingly facial flaws
And Their Highly arched eye brows
Are only Meant to untangle yours
And…
The Brightness of their clothes
Is That the Dimness of your life
Get lost in the colours
And the children-sized tricycles
The funny sounding musicals
Are to distract you from the sizes of your cubicles
And though..
The bagginess of their clothes
Resembles unrestraint
underneath they sorely fester
Profusely sweating from cheap made polyester
Send in the clowns
Enters the clown…
His white face
Resembles disbelief
The Red nose
Hides his humiliation
The Crimson hair
Resembles indignation
The Scarlet cheeks,
Are from the Shame of realization
The Rouge mouth
Is from lips bitten constantly in exasperation
So the next time you see a clown
Flailing a bobby head
Wipe out his invisible tears
And cry in his stead
