I am from The Match Brigade*
North Sudan is where I was born and raised.
South Kordofan is where I was deployed to engage
Infidels who fight for a secular state
Brought at a young age, to be filled with rage
By bearded men who spoke of heavens full of virgin maids
But wait.. How is bringing hell to children, men and women
Burning their homes turning them to caves…
Backed by angels we call Antonov airplanes
Dropping barrels of death like rain…
How is that supposed to take me to a peaceful place?
I am forcing kids to military train where they once played.
Causing their moms to feed infants pain
And dads to bleed in vain.
Insane.
I heard a teacher in Khartoum is jailed for saying we’re inhumane.
I heard my people who I’m told we’re protecting are protesting against our reign.
Such a shame, when heaven and hell feel the same
