Loving you is easy ‘coz you’re beautiful
But so damn hard at the same time
Because your hard head hurts my sane mind
Driving it behind to my insane one
& I’m left trying to gain one upper hand
But I find both my hands up in surrender
& though tender is your touch
Rough are my words and rougher still your response
So silence is the bitter medicine I’d hate to taste
But love still the freedom it serves
From the freedom you serve yourself in our cage
Still loving you is easy ‘coz you’re beautiful
Far easier than not loving you
Like a thorn in my side that hurts when I move
I stay still but you don’t cease to prove
Your presence in my mind
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
& only skin deep at that
You seemed to have debunked that second fact
& I doubt the first
I doubt anyone can’t see your beauty
& Loving you is easy coz you’re beautiful
So how easy would be for a stranger to love you
I’ve known you my whole life
Because everything before you seems like a past life
& everything past you, where you’re the past
Will be another life still & I’m not ready to fill
The gap you leave behind until it’s shrunk
Loving you is easy,
Because it was always hard not to love you
& not because you’re beautiful
Because you were comfort.
& I’m a man who sees beauty in all things
But comfort in few
Cursed the day I don’t see comfort in you.
