Did u ever wonder if rainbows ended in hell?
Maybe fought their way out of the abyss to prove to us
That even the most beautiful colors can crawl out of the deepest crust

Did you ever wonder if hell starts within? That our bodies start from clay to blood to bone
Then from flesh to words to stone
To deeds that burn our bones to rust
That turns our souls to dust

Did you ever wonder why the only road to freedom is often a battlefield
Or why we’re told that we have to fight for peace as if logic was a casualty of paradox
Maybe it’s to prove to us that our ugliest scars turn out to be our greatest victory

Did you ever wonder why they tell us the sky is the limit
Watch us shine our light
Then have the world dim it

Did you ever wonder who labels our feelings? Like, who gave them a name?
Because from my experience being happy and falling off your chair when you swing too far back feel almost exactly the same
So what if happiness stems from fear and in fear there was no shame
Would we chase after our demons
Or would run all the same

Did you ever wonder if you’ve ever hurt anyone beyond repair?
As in that part of their heart will never again learn to care?
And if you tell them you love them a hundred times over, they’ll never believe it
All because you’d rather cause pain than be the one to recieve it.

Did you ever wonder how many questions you could ask
Or how many answers you would find
If you choose to look beyond the narrow corners of your mind?
