The Machine (Unedited)

by Omer Mahjoub

I take blood baths and sip on your sweat
It gives me enough buzz to be able to keep an eye on you peasants
It tastes like good liquor to me so keep struggling
And keep on juggling all of these balls
At the same time while watching over you children
Let’s see which one of them, you are going to drop first..

And as the drops, trickle down you cheek think of all the benefits
The bonuses, and the nice car that you got promoted with
And by the end of the day, I’ll let you draw back to your caves
Gather your kin folk around the box, keep them entertained
And when it’s dinner time resort to your microwave
And reheat something ridiculous, you should have ate yesterday

And don’t forget your cool gadgets and hipster-ware
You can either upgrade or break from jail
Sike..
There is no breaking free from this global jail cell you’re living in..
You’re a global citizen…
As noble and innocent as Napoleon, Judas, Ceaser and that vixen Cinnamon

You’re the last of a dying breed if you’re from the middle class
And just another statistic if you’re from the lower class
And you might be one of my illegitimate children if you’re from the upperclassmen
So enough with the silly talk
You can talk revolution but you can never walk
For I the machine wont be giving in to your silly dreams of freedom
Until you find a way to dismantle me..justice will remain a fantasy..

Mr.Machine…
I have a deck of cards that i keep shuffling
Sometimes i feel lost and I find my self still struggling
But dismantling you is as inevitable as the moon pulling the tide
On a full moon..
