Hush, not a word
Say no more
You don’t want the boys to think you’re too smart
Keep your voice low
That’s what men like
And girl tighten that skirt
Show off what you’ve
Lighten that skin,
You can never go wrong
And dare you
Dare you speak your mind…
Day in and day out
I’m asked to show case myself
To whittle myself down to something someone would like
But what for?
For the almost men of my generation?
Who are threatened by my punctuation?
Ones who claim things they are not
Make promises they can’t keep
and eventually surrender the once upon a time very lavish love story and matrimony dream
اذا جاكي زوول وافقي
Or for that man coming from outside looking for a bride to complete his dream house?
Like a chandelier or an art piece for him to hang on the wall!
A wife he can puff his chest, when he says
because she so happens to cross off many things on that silly list of things him and his friends made once upon a time
The full lips
a figure like an hour glass
hair down to her thighs?
اعرفكم على المدام
him and his mother will disgustingly discuss behind her back
asking him whether she gets the job done right.
One his aunts and his family will count the days and ask
“When will you have a child?”
Because well she’s nothing but a pretty face that comes with the right equipment to bare a child.
